How do we determine the fabric quality??
Fabric Quality
At RiseBySize, we evaluate each fabric used in the clothing to determine its quality through a thorough rating process:
- Defect Evaluation: We inspect fabrics for any holes, snags, or discoloration.
- Specification Assessment: We check the fabric’s weight and GSM (grams per square meter) to ensure they match the specified criteria.
- Feel and Texture Rating: We assess the fabric’s hand feel and texture to rate its overall quality.
Stitching and Seams
At RiseBySize, we also check the performance of stitching and seams in our garments:
- Stitching Evaluation: We assess the uniformity, strength, and consistency of the stitching, noting any loose threads, missed stitches, or uneven seams.
- Stitching Methods: We identify the types of stitching methods used, such as straight, zig-zag, or overlock, to understand their impact on garment quality.
- Stitches Per Inch (SPI): We measure the stitches per inch to rate the density and overall stitching quality.
- Reinforced Stitching: We check for reinforced stitching in key areas to rate its effectiveness in enhancing durability.

- Zipper Functionality: We test zippers to assess their smooth operation, noting any issues with snagging or jamming to provide an accurate performance rating.
- Button Security: We examine the attachment of buttons, checking for secure stitching and firm attachment to accurately rate their reliability.
- Fastener Operation: We evaluate the functionality of all other fasteners to ensure they work as intended, allowing us to accurately rate their performance.
